Learning Update

Literacy
We finished our first book by writing a blog on Leila’s Life Lessons—things we (Leila) learned from our trip to the Arctic. We have now moved on to The Hidden Forest, a story about conservation and looking after our environment. So far, we have written dialogues and researched the real-life issue of the destruction of our seas.

Maths
We have been practising written and mental methods for the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). We have just started fractions and so far have been finding equivalent fractions as well as adding and subtracting them.

History
We have been learning about the transatlantic slave trade. We recorded podcasts about this dreadful part of history and have tried to empathise with the people who were treated so badly.

PE
We have been playing tennis and hockey. We learned how to pass, dribble, and find space. We then finished with a hockey tournament.

Coming Up…

  • In Literacy, we will write balanced arguments.
  • In Maths, we will multiply fractions.
  • In History, we will look at how people rebelled.
  • In Computing, we will code our own games.
