I would like to offer you a warm welcome to the Oaklands Primary School website
I hope that you enjoy having a look around our web pages and that they give you a real feel for the warmth, kindness and achievement that we aspire to at Oaklands.
Placed in Oaklands village, our intake comes from as far north as Stevenage all the way south to Old Hatfield. Parents chose us for our positive and inclusive ethos, for our professional and approachable staff and for our forward-thinking approach to innovation and creative ways to teach. We value our parent and local community and believe in working together to achieve common goals for our children.
At Oaklands our core values of kindness, honesty and respect underpin everything that we do. We use our values to help us to understand how our behaviour, and the behaviour of others, impacts on the wider world around us. At Oaklands we teach an international curriculum. Our international approach builds global citizens and in teaching the children about world events and human rights we build positive aspirations.
Through excellent provision, in a nurturing and child-focused environment, we strive for every child to experience success during their time here. Our curriculum seeks to excite and inspire the children through meaningful and fun learning experiences. We are proud to develop confident, independent and resilient learners, who take risks and understand that mistakes are part of the learning journey. Ofsted 09/2016 noted that at Oaklands `Pupils from all backgrounds are valued as individuals and encouraged to succeed.'
Above all, we seek to cultivate a generation of enquiring, technologically aware and creative children who enjoy learning, achieve their potential and can use their talents in their future world.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.
