Visions and Values

Oaklands Primary School provides a caring, positive, challenging and stimulating curriculum that encourages all children to grow as individuals and to aspire to be the best version of themselves. Our core values of kindness, honesty and respect underpin everything that we expect from our school community.

We aim to:

We aim to inspire every child, regardless of any barriers to learning, to engage in the learning journey. We endeavour to be inclusive in our approach and to teach children to make brave decisions, self-regulate and to have high aspirations for their future impact on the world.

Our core values are entwined with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and our British Values. They are taught within and alongside the International Primary Curriculum and our international assembly programme. Our knowledge and skill-rich curriculum, with it's global twist, allows us to show children that their one voice can make a difference to the ever-changing World. It allows them to see themselves are global citizens and neighbours. By teaching them about people who made a difference in the fields of humanity, medicine, science, the environment and engineering we hope to equip them with the skills to be lifelong learners and influencers of positive change.

Oaklands Equality Objectives 2019-2023

Equalities Statement

We strive to provide all children with the opportunity to experience success during their time at Oaklands Primary School.

Through the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum, we aim for all children, regardless of race, gender, religion or ability, to leave with the social and academic skills that will enable them to make a positive contribution to the future of the global community. We endeavour to arm them with the knowledge and opportunities to live a happy and healthy life.
