Update
The new Eco Council representatives met for the first time as a collective last week and got straight to work completing the environmental review, which highlights the strengths and weaknesses we have as a school. Votes were then taken to choose the three topics they felt Oaklands should work on this academic year. The three topics that received the most votes were litter, healthy living and energy.
In our next meeting, we will be discussing how we can work to improve these areas within the school, as well as looking at what information should go on the new 'Eco Council' page on the school's website. Exciting times ahead!
Count Your Carbon
November is 'Count Your Carbon' month. We are asking that pupils and their families try their best to reduce the amount of carbon they produce. Attached below is a challenge sheet with 9 different ways we can do our bit to help with a short explanation as to why. See how many you can mark off during November and beyond!
