Maple
Welcome to Maple
Learning Update - Mrs Ward
This week in Maple class, we have been exploring bridges and buildings from around the world. The children used loose parts to design and build their own structures, showing lots of creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills. We loved seeing all the different ideas come to life.
This week, we have also been enjoying the story Elmer, which has quickly become a class favourite. Inspired by Elmer’s bright colours and message about celebrating differences, we have had a very colourful week full of creative activities, discussions and art.
Our new and improved sensory room has also been a real success. The children have loved exploring the new space so much that we’ve struggled to get them back out again!
After half term, we will be reading Dear Zoo and taking part in lots of exciting sensory experiences linked to the story. We are also very excited for a visit from Safari Stu — so expect to see lots of animals in class!
It has been lovely to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic throughout the week.
