Learning Update

In Literacy, we are enjoying the online text Francis - a spooky story about a girl who goes missing after rowing into the middle of a lake for some privacy. We have written narratives and letters of warning so far.

In Maths, we have been revising fractions. We have revisited each method and finished the unit by doing a test of all the methods combined. 

In History, we have started our latest unit, Britain at War. We started by defining key terms and vocabulary like battle, invasion and liberate. We were lucky enough to read some genuine letters sent back to  Blighty by a WWII soldier. 

In Science, we have continued looking at Electricity and Circuits. We have tested various components like buzzers and motors. 

In PE, we have started practising rounders. We have looked at the rules and have played throwing and catching (fielding) games.

In French, we have started to learn how to discuss World War II.

In Computing, we have been looking at blogs. We researched, drafted and edited our blogs, before reading each other’s and commenting on them.

Coming up…

Literacy: We will write biographies of significant people from history.

Maths: We will revisit percentages.

History: We will look at the causes and effects of WWI and WWII

Computing: We will view and comment on each other’s blogs.
