Choosing a school is personal. You have questions specific to your child, your family, your situation. A big group open morning doesn't always give you the space to ask them.
That's why Oaklands offers small group tours for prospective parents; a proper walk around the school while lessons are happening, and a conversation tailored to what matters to you.

45 minutes to 1 hour.
When?
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30am.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to have already applied? No. Most parents visit before they apply — that's exactly what these tours are for.
Can I bring my child? Yes, please do. It helps enormously for them to see the school too.
How is this different from an Open Morning? Open mornings are a great way to see the school in full flow with other families. A small group tour gives you the attention and time needed to understand if Oaklands is the right school for your child. This is one of the most important decisions you will make, and a more personal approach will help you in making it.
What if my child has additional needs? We'll have time to discuss your child's needs and if you still need further information, a discussion with our SENCO can be arranged either on the day, or at a convenient time.
Is there any obligation? None at all. This is just a chance to see the school and ask your questions.
Is parking available? Yes, there is parking available on the Great North Road outside the school and in surrounding residential streets.
