Learning Update - Mrs Ward

We’ve had a lovely week of learning in Maple Class and wanted to share some of the things your children have been enjoying.

This week, we have been exploring the story The Three Little Pigs. The children have loved joining in with the story and talking about the different characters. In Maths, we’ve been focusing on numbers 1–10, practising counting and recognising numbers through fun, hands-on activities.

Our life skills focus has been cleaning and tidying up, encouraging the children to look after their classroom and develop independence. In Phonics, we have been learning the sound “i,” listening for it in words and practising how it sounds.

Next week, we will be starting a new story, Cinderella, which we are all very excited about. We’ll be using the story to support learning across communication, literacy, and play.

We are also really looking forward to welcoming parents and carers into school for our Sharing Assembly next Friday 13th at 9:00 am. This will be a lovely opportunity to see what the children have been learning and to celebrate their achievements together.
