Learning Update
In Literacy, we have continued reading The Hidden Forest. It is a story about conservation and how we must look after our oceans. We have written balanced arguments about whether or not we should protect these hidden worlds of wonder.
In Maths, we have started to look at fractions. We have practised converting and ordering them, as well as adding and subtracting them, including mixed numbers, e.g. 2⅗ + 1¼.
In History, we have continued our topic, Maafa. We have looked at the role Britain played in the triangular slave trade. We recorded podcasts about the three journeys from Europe to the Americas and then back to Europe.
In PE, we have continued tag rugby. We are learning skills like passing, moving and finding space. We played small games and used a variety of tactics.
In French, we have continued to learn regular verbs.
In RE, we have looked at what is important to us and what is important to various religions.
In Computing, we have been looking at graphs. We have used online tools to make pie charts and bar charts.
In Music, we have been learning about notation and time signatures.
