We hope that you find the information on this page informative. Please use the comments box below to raise any whole school matters for the next Parents' Forum meeting.
The Parents’ Forum provides the opportunity to discuss issues which impact on the development of the school, policy consultation, pupil wellbeing and communication.
The forum discusses a range of issues and offers opinions. Although not a decision making body, the forum has the opportunity to influence decisions through an open dialogue. The forum is held once a half term and agenda items are suggested by the parents as well as the school. It is a genuine attempt to seek the views of parents and develop a stronger partnership, by improving understanding through communication. This communication aims to increase parents understanding of the school and how it works.
Any agenda items must come through either the school website or via firstname.lastname@example.org Suggestions must never be shared on social media / WhatsApp as this would breach our e-safety code for staff, parents and pupils.
Arrange parent social evenings, school events or fundraising opportunities as this is the role of the schools association. Nor is it to be the interface for specific areas of concern around individual children or parents.
In the latter it is suggested that the following protocols apply:
Speak with the class teacher
(If this does not resolve the issue or is not appropriate)
Arrange an appointment with the headteacher
Please note that there is a clear but detailed complaints procedure that the school adheres to. This can be found under policies on the school website.
Please tell us about any issues that you would like raised at the next Parents' Forum meeting that you feel would benefit the growth and development of our school. Your email will go to a member of our Parents' Forum group.
